A long story – in brief
The story about Marathon and Olympia goes all the way back to 1916, when the company Olympia Marathon was founded in Ikast, Denmark. In 1989 the company was sold to the family-owned underwear manufacturer JBS, that has been the most renowned and innovative underwear brand in Denmark through decades with an awareness of no less than 90 percent! Today Marathon and Olympia are therefore strong brands in a visionary and financially sound concern with 300 dedicated employees, six well-known underwear and sock brands, export to a number of northern European markets, and ultramodern manufacturing facilities in our own factory in Lithuania. |

A further advantage is the fact that JBS opened Denmark's largest underwear shop Men's Underwear Retail centrally located in the main shopping area in Copenhagen in 2002. This shop gives us the chance to keep our finger firmly on the pulse of the industry – always. |
